John McGee is Professor of Strategic Management
and Academic Director at Warwick Business School. His
underlying theme of work is aligning the academic and the practical
with business imperatives of organisations.
John was formerly Dean, and Fellow in Corporate Strategy, at Templeton College, Oxford, and Founding Director of the Centre for Business Strategy at London Business School. He is President of the Strategic Management Society, member of the British Academy of Management, and member of the RAE Panel on Management Studies in 1996 and 2000.
John’s research interests include the evolution of industries, the new ‘network’ industries, international business strategies and alliances, development of globally competitive European industries, strategic group analysis, competence-based competition.
John is the author of many acclaimed management books, the most recent being Strategy – Analysis and Practice.
